Sayadeen [Fishermen] (Short Documentary, Palestine/UK, 2013)

Documentary
Sayadeen is a short documentary about the fishermen of Gaza City, filmed in May 2012.

On July 16, 2014 four young boys were killed by Israeli artillery fire whilst playing on the beach where the film was shot.

Their names are:

Ahed Atef Bakr, aged 10
Zakaria Ahed Bakr, aged 10
Muhammad Ramiz Bakr, aged 11
Ismail Muhammad Bakr, aged 9

Many of the fishermen interviewed in the documentary are part of the Bakr family – the film has now been published in memory of their four young boys, murdered in the latest assault on Gaza.
