When the bite gets tough, Mike Iaconelli is an expert on getting the fish to react with finesse techniques! In part one of Ike’s on-water instruction on Finesse tactics, Ike talks about one of his favorite and most productive tricks of tail-weighting a flat-sided soft plastic bait with a nail. The bait will glide backwards towards the cover or under the dock. You can use a Berkley Havoc Back Slide, French Fry, or similar soft plastic baits for this technique.
