Deep-sea bottom trawling is considered the most destructive fishing method in History. More than 300 scientists form all over the world wrote to Members of European Parliament asking them to ban the fishing method. More than 800,000 citizens have signed BLOOM’s petition to ensure that their concerns are acknowledged by politicians. Despite that, MEPs rejected the possibility of banning this fishing practice.
