Here are two easy bank fishing rigs for beginners, a float rig and a bottom rig. Both of them are easy enough for anyone to set up and both will catch fish. Which of these two easy rigs will catch more fish today? I caught one long ear sunfish on the realistic bottom rig. However I caught many more fish on the float rig. The finicky bite was easier to detect on the bobber. When a bottom rig doesn’t seem to catch fish, try switching to a float and you just might catch a bunch. No need to make huge changes when it could be this easy.
