So you want to go on vacation, but you still want to fish… Well we have a solution for you. Traveling with fishing gear is easy, if you know a few tricks. We recommend getting a solid 2 piece rod and a 2 piece rod tube (we use a fly rod tube available at Cabela’s/Bass Pro Shops, a reel cover, sturdy tackle trays and a Bass Mafia Money bag or two for your plastics. Once you have all of that, traveling with fishing gear is EASY!
Simply pack up to 2 rods in your checkable rod tube. Pack your reels in your carry on. And pack you tackle and plastics in your checked baggage! It’s cheap, it’s easy and it’s safe.
