It’s the start of Winter here in Texas, and the weather has been colder than usual. I’m starting this adventure way later into the afternoon. If I catch any fish, it will be a bonus. Blue bird skies, very high pressure, but being on the water when there is a break from the cold is all that matters. Still breaking in the long rod and getting use to it. I get a lot more feel using a 1/2 oz pegged egg weight. This also helps me track the bait a lot better and adjust when the boat is moving. The late start also had me curious if I could bring in a few fish at night, and get them to bite. Overall fun fishing adventure. Almost forgot how fun and peaceful fishing at night can be. ENJOY
