Dinkum is a sensational and relaxing farming, community, gathering, building game set in the Australian Outback with major notes of Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and Terraria. It has its own feel and is a joy to play. In this guide, I will start a brand new game and walk you through the basics of the controls, the UI, and tips and tricks to help you thrive in the beginning of the game. This is a completely non-spoiler guide, meant only to help you learn the fundamentals so you can explore and enjoy the surprises the game offers on your own. Dinkum is a ton of fun, but there are a lot of moving parts and small details that need to be understood to fully enjoy it. This guide is meant for you to play along or watch to hear my thought process and see how everything is done within the flow and context of an actual game.
