BALANCE is a slice of life of a young fishing family in Punta Allen, Mexico. The Tax Family members Pedro, Isla and Leonel are the quintessential family in a quintessential little town. Pedro is a respected fly fishing guide in town who won the Ascension Bay Permit Tournament in 2018, a tournament designed to bring economic support and assistance to the schools of Punta Allen, a tiny fishing village on the southernmost tip of the Riviera Maya.
Within the bright images and epic fishing, BALANCE explores the ingredients necessary to keep the local waters healthy, the people living there economically stable and the future generations of all emerging societies safe from the environmental damages we have caused over the years.
