Fishing in the 3rd World’s Largest Man-Made Lake | SLICE

Documentary
At the time it was created, Lake Nasser was the biggest manmade lake in the world. This vast reservoir can contain up to 169 billion cubic meters of water… A genuine treasure in one of the driest regions on earth.

Since its creation, the lake has as much transformed the lives of its fishermen as those of its underwater creatures. It’s estimated that six to ten thousand fishermen are now working on the lake. Before the dam was built, there were only a few hundred of them. As for the fish, their numbers have drastically dropped.
