When it comes to bass fishing I have always heard guys talk about Medium Heavy Actions and Heavy Action when really this actually doesn’t make sense.
If you hear terms like Medium, Medium/Heavy, Heavy then you are redeeming to Rod Power which is different then rod action. Rod action refers to where on the rod the inflection point is.
In this video I break down the differences between the two, and how you can decide what rod to throw with your lure based upon power and action.
