Had Ross come visit recently for a couple of days to target wild barra in one of my local estuaries, spending two full days on the water to try and make the most of the open season in North Queensland.
Both days were a grind as barra fishing can be, but both produced plenty of opportunities and Ross came away with 2 new PBs landed within 2 casts of each other, the first at 88cm and the second at 91cm. Both quality fish, and the best for the trip.
All my fish were caught on my Dobyns 703c, 200hg conquest, pe2 Sunline Castaway braid and 90lb System Shock Leader and a Lucky Craft Pointers rigged with BKK Vipers and Raptors. Ross got the majority of his fish on Molix RT Shads rigged with BKK Harpax Jigheads.
So yeah basically Rossco schooled me but I’m happy to just be there!
