On 7/26/2020, I finally take my Intex Mariner 4 out for a morning of fishing, after having not used it for 20 months. In order to make the boat transportable in my sedan, I cut the one-piece wood floor in two, and this was the boat’s first use since. I was able to move the boat by myself thanks to my new wheeled solution.
My unfamiliarity with my old boat was evident as I made a few mistakes during the preparation for the trip, which caused me to not be able to use my fishfinder, and to use my trolling motor in an unusual way.
What started out as a calm, windless morning quickly changed as the wind picked up and made fishing along the banks challenging.
